RIP Bwana

Subject is a male water frog, approximately one inch in length, with a snubby nose and long, flappy legs. Has been positively ID’d as Bwana. Death is approximated to have occurred sometime between 2am and 10am on Wednesday, 8/29/12.

Was last seen in his tank where he lived with his three tankmates: a beta fish named Rocket who knew nothing of last nights events due to extreme narcissism, a tiger snail named Kurt who was verified to be in the next door goldfish tank during those hours, cleaning (alibi checks out with goldfish neighbors Vince and Howard), and a second water frog, Pockets, who was mysteriously missing during initial review and questioning.

The manner and cause of death remains unknown. The body was found to be stretched out near the bottom of the tank, encased in a sort of clear white fuzzy goo. As of now, I suspect foul play. There is a warrant out for the arrest of Pockets, should he be found.

Upon further investigation (and a good thorough tank cleaning), Pockets was found to be hiding in the tank, although how he eluded previous searches is unknown. When questioned further, it became clear that he could not have been physically capable of producing the strange substance involved in the death of Bwana.

The leading theory at this point is tank scum, but since only one frog was affected, this theory cannot be proven and this case remains open, filed away permanently in (bum bum bum) the X-Files.
